St Mary's Church, Stonham Parva

Also standing within the Parish of Earl Stonham is the beautiful little church of St Mary the Virgin at Stonham Parva. It is maintained by the Churches Conservation Trust  https://www.visitchurches.org.uk/visit/church-listing/st-mary-stonham-parva.html

Again there is more detail about the building on the Suffolk Churches web site at http://www.suffolkchurches.co.uk/stonhamparva.htm

We normally use it for worship on a few Sundays and special services each year. Sadly, the structure had become unsafe but thanks to an extensive restoration by the Churches Conservation Trust, with 80% of the money coming from the government’s Covid-19 Culture Recovery Fund, it is hoped to re-open this summer. Please note as it is still an active building site you are not able to visit the church quite yet.

We look forward to the church reopening and returning to its place in the heart of the community soon.
