Village Defibrillator

This could be a life saver

Our new Defibrillator has now been commissioned and is ready for use.

You will find it in a "Shock Box" on the wall of the Village Hall, to the right of the main entrance doors.

Full instructions for using the AED are contained within the box.

The use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) can increase the chance of survival for someone suffering an SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest) by up to 50%. It is intended for use by the layman in addition to standard CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) techniques. Instructions for giving CPR and when to use the defibrillator can be found below. The Instructions are provided by The Community Heartbeat Trust (read more here) who also supplied the AED.
