Bishop's Appeal for Ukraine

This Lent we have decided our charity appeal should be for Ukraine. We will have a collection for Kagera later in the year

The crisis in Ukraine is creating a humanitarian catastrophe, as all of us can see from the daily news reports. Bishops Martin and Mike are calling on all the parishes and congregations of the Diocese this Lent to raise funds through collections, individual gifts, events and activities, to respond to the terrible situation the people of Ukraine are facing - both in the country and as refugees.

We are very grateful to be in partnership with World Vision. Be assured that every pound goes directly to those in need. World Vision is also part of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), whose appeal is supported by the UK Government.

You can send a cheque (payable to Earl Stonham PCC) to John Jones or, far easier, give by card by following this link -https://givealittle.co/campaigns/422d8004-20fe-47d0-bd62-567075e70a16- or scanning the QR code with your phone (you'll need to download it here and then point your camera at the screen). Don’t forget to complete the Gift Aid Declaration here.

Thank you for your kindness, support and generosity for those in need. We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.

Mark Parry, Churchwarden, on behalf of all at St. Mary's
